In today’s readings, Elijah and Peter both find themselves surrounded by chaos: one in despair, the other in the middle of a storm. Yet God meets them not in the noise, but in the quiet. Both are also given the courage to do something difficult: ask for help.
This homily reminds us that we are not meant to face life’s storms alone. When we seek the Lord in the quiet, reach out for help, and trust Him, Christ reaches down and reminds us: you are worth saving.
