Revival

Join the Revival with St. Pat’s

We have entered an exciting year for St. Pat's and the Catholic Church nationwide. The United States Bishops announced a three-year call to Revival in our devotion to the Eucharist last year. The goal of the Revival is to inspire a movement of Catholics across the United States who are healed, converted, formed, and unified by an encounter with Jesus in the Eucharist-who are then sent out on mission "for the life of the world.”

This page is your resource for all things Eucharistic Revival at St. Pat’s. We hope you will join us for this amazing year! We can’t wait to see how the Lord blesses our Parish.

Defining our Terms:

Revival is the invitation that Pope Francis has extended to the Universal Church to “a renewed personal encounter with Jesus Christ”—particularly the transforming power and mercy of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist.

The National Revival, a three-year initiative, launched in 2022 on the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, or Corpus Christi. On July 17, 2024, America will gather for the first time in 83 years for a National Eucharistic Congress. This historic moment will launch the United States into a Year of Mission, sending on-fire Catholics out to share Christ’s love “for the life of the world.” We will continue to spread the Revival movement throughout the Church’s 2025 Jubilee Year and beyond.

The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life. In the celebration of the Eucharist, bread and wine become the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit and the instrumentality of the priest. The whole Christ is truly present -- body, blood, soul, and divinity -- under the appearances of bread and wine, the glorified Christ who rose from the dead. This is what the Church means when she speaks of the "Real Presence" of Christ in the Eucharist.

Eucharistic Adoration is a Catholic devotion dating back to the early days of the Church. It involves exposing a consecrated host, the Blessed Sacrament, allowing people to sit and pray in the presence of Jesus Christ.

Adoration specifically refers to any prayer in front of the Blessed Sacrament.

Eucharistic Adoration is available to experience daily at the St. Michael the Archangel Chapel located at our Crane Rd Church. Additionally, Adoration is held on Wednesdays at our downtown Church.

Archbishop Fulton Sheen once said, “A Holy Hour of Adoration in our modern rat race is necessary for authentic prayer.” Committing to a weekly hour with Jesus will quickly become one of the highlights of your week. Click Here to commit to your weekly hour.

The Eucharist is the Source and Summit of our faith, the most important thing. These years of Eucharistic Revival are a perfect opportunity to learn more about the Eucharist.

Sometimes all it takes to get someone back to Mass is a personal invitation. The joy we find in the Mass can speak volumes to those we love who are away.

A simple way to invite someone to attend Mass is by including it in a larger social activity. For instance, if you have plans to go for brunch with your friend, you can casually mention that you will be going to Mass beforehand, and invite them to join you if they wish to. This gives them the freedom to choose whether or not to attend but also gives you the opportunity to welcome them warmly. Going back to Mass with a friend can also take some of the anxiety off of a new comer.

What We’ve done so far

In August 2023, we hosted a Eucharistic Conference in celebration of the Eucharistic Revival. This conference aimed to explore the transformative love of our Eucharistic Lord and invite us deeper into communion with Him through the Revival.
